Publisher Description
Josephine Shafter has spent years hunting the men who destroyed her family, delivering justice with a steady hand and an unyielding heart. But with vengeance finally behind her, she’s left with nothing but an empty future. Yearning for something more—something softer—she answers an ad to become a mail-order bride, hoping Montana’s wild beauty will bring the peace she’s never known.
Sheriff Sam Longworth is a man haunted by the past. Guilt over his failed marriage and his wife’s tragic death weighs heavily on him, leaving him desperate for a fresh start. A practical man, he seeks a wife who will bring stability, not trouble. Josephine, with her sharp wit and quiet strength, seems like the perfect match—until shadows from her past follow her to his town.
As Jo and Sam fight to build a life together, an unseen enemy lurks in the distance, waiting for the right moment to strike. Trust is fragile, love even more so, and when danger closes in, they must decide whether their bond is strong enough to withstand the storm—or if the past will tear them apart before they have a chance at forever.

Hunter bride
Just ended before I wanted to give up on the story
The Hunter Bride
Liked her story-telling style, but oh, does she need an editor or a better editor. Poor editing is distracting, to say the least. However, I did like her characters, and that is important, too.
Rough Draft?
So many mistakes this seemed like a rough draft.
It was difficult to figure out the exact time period this book takes place. The bride came on a stagecoach but then opened canned goods for dinner and shopped at a market and butcher shop. First Billy had green eyes, then he had dark brown, almost black eyes. The writing style was so simplistic it was almost boring. With so many books to choose from these days, I will not read this author again.
