Best translation available.
Definitive translation
The Fitzgerald translation has been considered one of the best for nearly three decades. Why one reviewer would give it only two stars without even reading it is beyond me.
Painful
Another attempt to put the classics into “modern language”. “Butcher it with slang” is a more accurate description. It hurt to read.
