For the benefit of my awesome fans across the pond, this novel is written in UK English and may include a few colloquialisms and spellings that you don’t recognise. There is, understandably considering the circumstances, a bit of swearing involved. We do swear a bit in England, just put it down to eccentricity, or maybe our spirited Anglo-Saxon heritage.
Another unusual trait of the Brits, is to use humour in stressful situations. Just ask anyone who’s been on active service with the British Armed Forces. It helps to keep one sane!

Great premise!! Characters are great and the descriptions of our future is awesome!!
this book is really bad
imagine if lead scientist and entire groups of aliens all acted like lead characters in a 1980s teen angst movie. Add to that the ridiculousness of a zombie movie and then remove any realistic aspects. what’s your left with is actually painful to read. i’m pretty sure this is AI written book. plot just seems to spiral on one disaster after another huge chunk of it filled with boring descriptions of alien tech or stupid scenes about interacting with the tech. I mean, there really is no plot. all of the characters are cardboard cut outs from 80’s movies.
