Customer Reviews
Masterful
The insight and wit in this volume is a delight to digest. Mark Twain's descriptions and biting humor liven his acute observations and self deprecating commentary. It is a great read and much fun.
Exceptional book by an amazing author
This book returns to a time when world travel required days on ships and patience on trains and carriages. Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens) has an impressive vocabulary and masterful command of the language. While the prejudices of the time are, at times, jarring, many of the insights relevant to today.
