ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Dawn Kandekore is an ICT education consultant teacher with a past career in IT & Telecoms. This unique combination of professionalism enables Dawn to draw upon insights from both industry and education. She is passionate about educational technology and recognises the need to support teachers with technology in the classroom. Dawn gained invaluable experience as a consultant teacher working at the City Learning Centres (CLC), an organisation originally funded by the UK government to provide innovative ICT learning and teaching opportunities across the curriculum for surrounding schools in a city-based area. During her time at the CLCs, she developed and delivered training to teachers, modelled creative ways of using ICT in the classroom, and led Internet safety courses as an ambassador for Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP). Dawn now runs her own education consultancy company, Compstart, and is also a mother of three children.
