The Inspiration and Authority of Holy Scripture

The Bible was heavily attacked in Bullinger’s day, not only by the atheists who had found a new god in evolution, but also by the so-called higher critics within the established church. He also felt that the Douai Bible, an English translation from the Latin Vulgate, was also undermining teachings that were fundamental to Protestant Christianity.
