Faust an assassin at a market place in Morocco, the target a young woman. She was calm, moving with ease, she knew they would come, and fail.
Lauren Pauling looking at the creamy colored envelope, from the oldest and prestigious law firm. A scam she wondered, requesting her presence for an estate settlement, Her sister didn’t receive one. Another request now from an old firm in Paris, with an unusual task. Two million plus all expenses paid to find a missing young woman, before they killed her.
Tallon was coming to Paris, to be with Pauline and help. Word had gotten out about the investigating that Pauline was now doing. Murder her was the given order. With Michael Tallon another attempt made to take her out.
When a visitor came the pieces fell into place, of her wanting answers Tallon has a chance to get rid of one loose end, is there more.
I liked how help and answers was what she needed, and how she drew Pauling and Tallon to Paris. With these two on a case there is plenty of action, intriguing plot and well done. Great series.
