Not the same as the true Jerusalem Bible

While it may be that the translation itself is the same as the 1966 Jerusalem Bible, this is not a digital version of that book. One of the real treasures of that translation is the invaluable scholarship and copious commentary, all of which is missing here. It’s just been stripped out completely, for reasons I’ll never understand. Add to this the fact that the typeface leaves much to be desired and the formatting is a mess (random hanging quotation marks in the middle of a sentence, when no dialogue is even taking place), and this was definitely a highly anticipated but deeply disappointing purchase.
