As the streamer ship rolls into Baltimore Harbor, an 8 year old boy from Poland named Kaz is dreaming of a land where money grows on the streets. What he discovers is a young nation, a booming midwest town, a lovely girl, and a small gift which would set the trajectory of his life and his legacy for the next century. This historical novel follows an immigrant family through joys, heart-aches, wars, weddings, and wonder.
