“My favorite historical novel . . . a superb re-creation of the Battle of Gettysburg, but its real importance is its insight into what the war was about, and what it meant.”—James M. McPherson
In the four most bloody and courageous days of our nation’s history, two armies fought for two conflicting dreams. One dreamed of freedom, the other of a way of life. Far more than rifles and bullets were carried into battle. There were memories. There were promises. There was love. And far more than men fell on those Pennsylvania fields. Bright futures, untested innocence, and pristine beauty were also the casualties of war. Michael Shaara’s Pulitzer Prize–winning masterpiece is unique, sweeping, unforgettable—the dramatic story of the battleground for America’s destiny.

(Potato man) The Killer Angels!!!!
I think that if you are looking for a thrilling and adventurist entertaining outgoing and part taking book then you should definitely read the killer angles if I was the judge for like the number one book in the world for the Civil War I would definitely vote the killer angles because not only does he give out 1000 and even more reasons why you should like look in to the Civil War but it also explains it in multiple details and it really breaks it down and explains like what was the Civil War and like what happened so if you like really wanna know all this information you should definitely think about reading the killer angles and one more thing it is a clean book and might say a few words that are a little questionable but it also makes it quite funny so you should read the killer angles by Michael Sahaara.
This book is so good on so many levels. I read it back in the 90s and it inspired me to start reading again. I have read every book his son Jeff has written since and they are all wonderful too. Saw this as I was browsing and just felt I had to leave a review.
Great read...you can visualize every detail 5/5 stars.
