The Kinsman's Tree

Unyielding evil eclipses a world that cries out for hope, which rests with the tiniest of heroes.

The Empire of Chol has conquered the world, spreading darkness through an army of wraiths, the Nihúkolem. Ancient texts speak of a coming Kinsman who will restore what was lost, but promise fades in the smothering grip of evil.

Hidden in the village of Endego, tiny creatures called the Etom struggle to survive beneath the willows. When their peaceful existence is shattered, young Nat must embark on an impossible quest. Guided by supernatural events and spurred by sacrifice, he sets out to seek the world's one enduring hope.

But the path to the Kinsman leads through treacherous wilds, ancient mysteries, and the very heart of Creation itself. Discovering truths about his veiled heritage and a Tree that holds the power of life, Nat must choose between security and a mission that could save them all.

Will courage triumph over darkness? Can the least among us yet carry the greatest hope?

"This book was an absolute joy! I loved it. Hurst does a fantastic job weaving an epic novel with our tiny characters. His attention to detail, his painting with words, even the way he describes the battle scenes unfold like a movie." - Parker J. Cole, The Write Stuff Radio
