The Last Mortal Bond The Last Mortal Bond

Publisher Description

The trilogy that began with The Emperor's Blades and continued in The Providence of Fire reaches its epic conclusion, as war engulfs the Annurian Empire in Brian Staveley's The Last Mortal Bond

The ancient csestriim are back to finish their purge of humanity; armies march against the capital; leaches, solitary beings who draw power from the natural world to fuel their extraordinary abilities, maneuver on all sides to affect the outcome of the war; and capricious gods walk the earth in human guise with agendas of their own.

But the three imperial siblings at the heart of it all--Valyn, Adare, and Kaden--come to understand that even if they survive the holocaust unleashed on their world, there may be no reconciling their conflicting visions of the future.

GZillaisold ,

Talented and familiar, good series.

Let's be honest, since the Harry Potter young adult fiction genre there has been a lot of crap written and offered on digital readers.

A lot of crap.

The Unhewn Throne isn't crap. In fact it's a very good first effort. The characters and themes and setting incorporate familiar elements from dozens of other works and I found it enjoyable whenever I stumbled into a moment of deja vu.

I hope we see more effort from the author both in the world of the Unhewn throne and others.

No more

Read each of the first two books in a week. This one took two months and I almost didn’t bother finishing as the first 400 pages were a chore.

Awesome!!

More please! This last book was written three years ago and I just found this series. It’s so refreshing to find a good series. I’ve been muddling through all sorts of new authors, trilogies, etc. and I was so glad I found this! A spin off of this world would be great I’m sure! Maybe one on the Nevariim?? Gwenna?? I’m downloading “Skullsworn” today as I’m sure it will be entertaining. There are few authors that I identify with as far as their writing style. Brian is one of them. Great job man. Don’t stop, keep it up!!

P.S. I was so glad when Adare got hit in the head with a stone.
