squandered potential
Just don’t take the plot holes too seriously, the writers sure didn’t so neither should you. That done and it becomes quite a joyful little experience. (It is my belief that a graphic novel or comic book is never merely “read” but “experienced” both literarily and visually). A lot of the characters lack the depth we are used to these days and it’s a shame because the potential is there. The background art I found very well done, a sort of asymmetrical mechanical futuristic psychedelic style that went way above what one would have thought necessary for the scene. The character art on the other hand was done just as well as was needed, no more no less than was required.
