Eighteen-year-old Sloane is a deadly fighter, but she is about to meet her match, and he's not exactly human.
Sloane thought she could solve any problem with a blade--that is until she is kidnapped and taken through a shimmering rift to a strange world covered in snow. The frozen land she finds herself in is protected by a mysterious race of warriors and haunted by evil, ancient creatures that lurk in the shadows.
Her first instinct is to fight for her freedom, but her skills with a sword are useless in helping her escape from the cold and distant alien prince who holds her prisoner. Her only hope is to gain his trust. The problem is, the closer they become the harder it is to let him go.
Will she succeed in escaping or will she find a reason to stay?

I read this in one day. I just couldn't put it down. The main character is really cool. She's in an impossible situation. I can't wait to find out how she's going to solve this problem. All of the character development is well done. The plot is intense. The story is clean of vulgarity and sex.
Such potential, but such a whiny character
Slogan, the main character, not only keeps making poor choices, but is terribly annoying along the way. This book has such amazing potential but I'm not sure I could stand to read another volume.
Thank you Alexandra for this amazing book series. I highly recommend reading all four books in this series!!
