The Line Between Us

Cynthia realized that when her mother disappeared from her life.  She excelled in her studies since grade one with the determination to leave her father’s nest laden with secrets. She prepares for the University with the expectations of the unknown, wondering what the future holds beyond the protective and threatening walls built around her by her father. She must obey the rules set for her to never fall in love or reveal her well-kept secret, or she risks being disowned and disinherited. Her father and brother are the only family she ever knows, and the only people she somewhat cares about until Damian sneaks into her life and flips it around.

Damian, an only child, is a youth corper serving in Lagos. He has one year to serve the nation before returning to his mother in the village. While taking his regular walks, he wanders into Cynthia’s unlocked room and instantly falls in love with her, until he takes her to the village and everything crumbles before their very eyes as they realize there’s a thin line between love and hate.
