Publisher Description

This Little Black Book is your companion for Lent 2014. It’s an old-fashioned “vade mecum” (pronounced vahday maykum). That’s Latin for “travel with me” and was used to describe a book that was a constant companion – perhaps a condensed book of prayers for traveling priests, or a handbook for quick reference – something you could take with you anywhere.

The Little Books keep me present through the liturgical cycle. Carving out 6 minutes daily spiritual meditation should be so simple, but unless I have these readings the only meditation I practice is a nightly prayer. The Little Books feed my soul with a biblical passage I meditate on that is simple & profound and The Little Books feed my brain with historical facts that span time. I value these books immensely and cherish the little time spent on reading each page-Priceless!
