APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Whether you’re new to Raymond Chandler or a diehard fan, The Little Sister illustrates why he’s widely recognized as one of the masters of crime fiction. We couldn’t get enough of the gritty film-noir atmosphere as Chandler’s hardboiled, smart-mouthed Los Angeles private investigator, Philip Marlowe, delved into the golden age of Hollywood, where something sinister is hiding underneath the glamour. An innocent young Kansas girl new to L.A. hires Marlowe to find her missing big brother. But before the detective can dig his teeth into the case, he encounters a torrent of shocking revelations connecting the brother to two men murdered with an ice pick, a toupee hiding secret information, and a mysterious blonde who can knock a man unconscious with a high-heeled shoe. The strange and intriguing clues in this bizarre case all come together so brilliantly in the end that as soon as we were finished with this shadowy mystery, we wanted to read it all again.

The Little Sister
This is Chandler at his best. Everything is here. The snappy dialogue, mysterious women, slippery underworld figures, drugs, sex and booze, all intertwined in a well paced and twisting plot.
