The Lonely Halo

The death of a young mother is a tragedy for the whole extended family, for there are young children involved. This story is about an ordinary family., Their grief journey through the first year is documented, taking us through desperate yearning, sadness, anger and  a desire for Mummy to return. This family benefits greatly from the idea of a halo, that is strongly associated with Mummy. This idea sustains them all, until, owing to a misunderstanding, the halo was allowed to escape. After a very bad time, and with the arrival of spring and summer, a new idea begins to surface; to make a "special goodbye" - a service of mourning and remembrance  for Mummy. This act of remembrance enables the whole family to begin to heal
