Publisher Description
The End was just the beginning of the new world…
Only six weeks have passed since a super-EMP attack devastated the United States, but already, life has changed dramatically. Most of America has become a wasteland filled with starving bands of people, mobs and gangs. Millions are dead and millions more are suffering, with no end in sight.
For Gordon, Samantha, Sebastian, Cruz and Barone, the turmoil and chaos they dealt with in the early weeks after the attack will seem trivial in comparison to the collapse of society that plays out before their eyes. Uncertainty abounds as they all travel different paths in search of a safe place to call home. The only thing that is definite is that The Long Road will take its toll on all of them.
For readers of Going Home by A. American, Lights Out by David Crawford, Lucifer’s Hammer by Jerry Pournelle and One Second After by William Forstchen

Liking it
Enjoyed 1&2. Seems to jump at points when I feel there should be more but it works. Story and characters are believable. Will continue to read his series. Actually met the author and he is super nice guy.
Saudi Arabia
When the President was listing the countries he was going to nuke in retaliation, he did not list Saudi Arabia. Since SA is one of the prime financiers of Muslim terrorists, I wondered why they weren't included. I read a short bio of the author and it stated he had worked as security for the Saudi Royal family. Oh well.
Indonesia would also make a good target.
The long Road
This second book in the series has better character development. The plot is mostly predictable. I keep reading mostly because the story somehow provokes an internal debate....if any of the main characters would act the way they do and if they would have the results depicted in the book?
