Publisher Description
New York Times bestselling crime writer John Glatt tells the true story behind the kidnappings and long-overdue rescue of three women found in a Cleveland basement.
The Lost Girls tells the truly amazing story of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight, who were kidnapped, imprisoned, and repeatedly raped and beaten in a Cleveland house for over a decade by Ariel Castro, and their amazing escape in May 2013, which made headlines all over the world. The book has an exclusive interview and photographs of Ariel Castro's secret fiancé, who spent many romantic nights in his house of horror, without realizing he had bound and chained captives just a few feet away. There are also revealing interviews with several Castro family members, musician friends and several neighbors who witnessed the dramatic rescue.

Poorly written book
This was the first book that I purchased that was about the Cleveland girls kidnapped. In my opinion, this book had very little to offer that was not already offered by the numerous news stories that were released. This author seems to have taken the majority of all the news stories that were out there and condensed them all into one book. If you truly want to read the story of these three brave girls, I recommend you buying the books that they wrote themselves.
Not true
His story about when Amanda got free and Amanda’s version is completely different! I believe the actual victims’
Story
This book needed a better editor.
First thing, grammatical errors. Secondly, very repetitive. Third, poorly organized. However, this was a good story and hard to put down. I wish we would have had more of the story from the victims' perspective.
