The Lost Librarian

Sally Holmes isn't your average eleven-year-old girl. Instead of makeup, sleepovers, and boys, her favorite things are true crime shows, Nancy Drew books, and the fingerprinting kit she got for Christmas. And her dog, Sherlock, of course. Sally's dreamed of being a detective for years, and now she's finally getting the chance to solve her very first case at the local library.

Keys have been stolen by unknown thieves, the library staff is acting strange, and an author who's been dead for a decade has just released a new book. On top of that, there's a rumor that the library's being haunted by the ghost of a girl who went missing there years ago. To Sally, and her crime-solving canine, it seems like none of the mysteries are related to each other.
