Series description:

The Accord Trilogy is one continuous investigation — and one continuous awakening.

When a dead man's letter arrives on Elara Quinn's London doormat, sealed with a spiral no living hand should still be pressing, the Scientific Review's most reliable skeptic is pulled into the fragment of an architecture forty-one centuries deep: the Nine Accords — nine ordinary practices that a scattered, unadvertised network of practitioners has agreed, across cultures and continents, are the ones that actually work. But the Accords have been kept quiet for thirty years by an agency that disappears anyone who hears the hum too clearly. And a seal, once broken, cannot be resealed.

Book One — The Luminous Accord — takes Elara from a London flat to a sanctuary carved into the living rock above Cusco, and from there to a mountaintop broadcast that will interrupt every screen on Earth for ninety seconds. The Perimeter is exposed. The Accords are named. The company of the awake begins to gather.

Book Two — The Hollow Choir — moves fifteen months later to the ice fields of Svalbard, where a Norwegian glaciologist named Ines Vollan has pulled a core with a spiral pressed into ice four hundred thousand years old. What tried to silence the Accords in Book One has learned a new strategy: instead of suppression, acquisition. A Washington architecture called the Continuity Project is building a world in which the Accords sing without rests — a hollow choir. Elara and Ines must answer it, not silence it.

Book Three — The Long Answer — arrives eighteen months later, in Cusco, in Ulaanbaatar, in a Guizhou village near a limestone sinkhole, in a Washington kitchen. The Accords have gone ordinary. They are in the world's clinics and buses and Monday mornings, without Elara at the center. And the final antagonist is not a shadow agency but a well-mannered inheritor named Ellis Cho — Adrian Vale's younger brother — who believes he is preserving something and does not know what he is preserving. The trilogy ends where every real answer ends: in a specific ordinary second, and a specific ordinary third, and a specific ordinary hundred.
