I like this app a whole lot better than the blackaby app I bought that was twice as much. The only problem I have with this app and so many others is that there is no back button. It's cool to be able to click on a reference and get more information. But it is very frustrating and not be able to go back to where you were. Is it really such a hard concept for a developer to take you back to the place you were after reading the reference? If you can get past this, it really is worth the $15.
MacArthur Study Bible ESV for IPAD
I am hoping the app developers read this and perhaps add some usability features. Trying to navigate from one passage to another it terribly cumbersome. The app is very difficult to use!
Hopefully some usability updates will improve the app. I will watch for updates and let you know if any updates fix the usability problems.
Having said that, the study notes are great.

What is soo nice about readint he MacArthur Study Bible in iBooks is that if you have your settings correctly set on your iPhone 4 & 5,etc. you can highlight the text and it will SPEAK out loud the TEXT. (Go to: SETTINGS on your: iPhone/iPad > go to GENERAL > ACCESSIBILITY > TURN ON SPEAK SELECTION > (make sure volume on your phone is on >SET the SPEAKING RATE to how fast or slow you want it.. (turtle is slow / theRabbit is fast) It is solo nice! I also make the text VERY SMALL so I can have the SPEAK SELECTION read more to me. // I also have the ESV in OliveTree(DOT)com’s APP but it will not do this TEXT to TALK thing… but it does it in iBooks… iBOOKS all the way! By the way the ESV version is waaay easier to navigate than the NKJV.. I have both and I would strongly recommend you get the ESV version if you have a choice for waaay better navigation as far as getting around in the Book on your phone & iPad. Hope this HELPS!
