Dubbed the Magnificent Seven by financial analyst analyst Michael Hartnett, Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, Meta Platforms, Microsoft, Nvidia and Tesla are among the world’s leading (and richest) technology companies.

Although they are often discussed together, they are very different businesses that make money in very different ways.

While there is head-on competition between some of the Seven in digital advertising, devices and cloud computing, each business has its own very distinctive proposition and associated business model. What they have in common - their magnificence - is that they have a very strong position in at least one major tech segment.
