Parker Breckinridge, a sophomore in college, is working hard to create her own identity apart from her wealthy family. With her online cosmetic business, she hopes to someday soon escape the receiving end of constant disappointment and drama from her parents.

Cade Adler doesn't do relationships—especially ones that include uptight princesses. Been there. Done that. Destroyed the T-shirt. Not that it matters. As a full-time police officer and student, he doesn't have time for women anyway.

A misunderstanding with an overzealous campus cop drops Parker directly in Cade's path, both on a personal and professional level. When outside forces threaten their newly found love and happiness, Parker and Cade must decide if they can work together to pass this test or accept their love is destined to fail.
