Thrilling roller coaster ride with twists on turns
Two families vacation in the seaside town of Swanage. Jake and Lainey aren’t happy with the location given it’s where they grew up. Something from the past haunts both the brother and sister.
The timeline switches between the past and the present slowly easing the reader into the mysterious behavior between Jake and Lainey’s unease with being back in Swanage.
The revelations were unexpected surprises. I was shocked by the twists and turns. Everything unfolded by the disclosure of Shalini. Nothing was mentioned that lended the reader to figure it out on their own. The story flowed despite being unable to solve the mystery on my own.
I’m impressed and a little worried and maybe even scared at the brilliance of Shalini’s plotting skills.
This is the first book I read by this author and OMG what a great first read by her. This is a stand alone novel so you don’t have to read anything before it.
This book is about a mother desperate to find out what happened to her husband and son when they went out one morning to see the dolphins without her.
I want to start by saying this book is not what it seems at all. I thought I knew what was going on and what would happen next until I got to the end and it blew me away. I would have never guessed how this book was go to end. I was really impressed at how the author turned a simple missing person case into something way more complicated than that. I am really glad this was the first book I read by this author as now I want more and will definitely read all her books.
Between the plot, characters and all the twists in this book it made it an easy and fast read. I would definitely recommend it and happily give it 5 Hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
