Description de l’éditeur
Callie Carmichael has a gift for making bridesmaid dresses—some even call them magical. Somehow, every person who’s worn one of her dresses has found love. Real love. And as long as that happily-ever-after is for someone else, Callie is happy. Because she’s fully over getting her heart broken…which is why her new roommate is definitely going to be a problem.
After being overseas for six months, Callie’s only choice is to stay with her best friend’s ridiculously hot brother, Hunter Owens. Cowboy, troublemaker, and right now, the town’s most coveted bachelor. Only, Hunter isn’t quite the player she thought. And if it weren’t for her whole “no more love” thing, their setup could get confusing really fast.
Now, Hunter wants Callie to make him a best man suit—a “lucky for love” kind of suit. But what happens if she makes the suit and he finds true love…and it isn't her?
Each book in the Windsong series is STANDALONE:

I loved Hunter
Hunter was a wonderful character and I immediately fell in love with him. Caring and kind, he's been in love, or at least a heavy crush/attraction, with Callie for years. Callie was a harder sell for me. I really liked how dedicated she was to her dress making and was a great friend to everyone, including Hunter. But her "no love for me" attitude really began to wear on me. Honestly, she's lucky that Hunter stuck around, because I would have dropped her like a hot potato. I enjoyed the story overall and although I read the previous book, I think new readers can start off with The Matchmaker and the Cowboy and have no trouble following along.
Secret love
Having a secret crush on his sister best friend, Hunter finally has his chance to see if it will be more or if it is only one sided. Callie comes home after six months in Africa doing volunteer work. Coming home after a bad breakup and no family to welcome her back to Windsong. Actually no house even to crash in. Her best friend Nova has the perfect solution. Her brother Hunter was bitten by a black widow spider and needs someone to watch over him. Not exactly happy with the situation but really hasn’t any other options she crashes on Hunter’s couch. Slowly they get to know each other better and there are some sparks, but Callie comes with some baggage. Trying to start her business that has her getting a moniker as a matchmaker with her maid of honor dresses. Family that always seems to forget she is around and parents that have the on again, off again relationship. Surely not a role model for love.
I love the characters, the dialogue between Hunter and Callie was very good. Beware there are steamy parts. Definitely can be read as a standalone. Thank you NetGalley for this eARC. I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an Advance Reader Copy of this story. #NetGalley #TheMatchmakerandtheCowboy
