Publisher Description
A delightful romantic comedy from New York Times bestselling author Ginny Baird...
Successful Boston matchmaker and television personality Meredith Galanes’s reputation is on the line. During a guest appearance on a morning talk show, she’s broadsided by questions about her own romantic attachments. Afraid to admit her love life is a total disaster, Meredith blurts out that she’s seriously involved with a very special man—a boatbuilder in Maine. She never expects that small slip to get spun into a story about her supposed engagement.
Or that the paparazzi will track the guy down.
Derrick Albright is laid-back about many things. Being hounded by the press about some imaginary engagement to a woman he’s only met once—and couldn’t stand—isn’t one of them. Then Meredith actually shows up at his cabin in Blue Hill, Maine, with an apology, a pot roast, and a proposal. If he plays along until she secures her TV deal, she’ll help him win back his ex.
It’s a simple plan…if they can survive each other first.
Each book in the Blue Hill Brides series is STANDALONE:

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Baird's delightful second Blue Hill Brides romance (after The Duplicate Bride) opens as professional matchmaker Meredith Galanes gets skewered by a catty talk-show host over her own lackluster love life. To save face and maintain her clients' trust in her romantic acumen, she lies about being in a relationship and, when pressed for details, describes an acquaintance from Blue Hill, Maine. Boatbuilder Derrick Albright met Meredith only once at his brother's wedding and wasn't a fan, but after she gets in touch with him, he reluctantly agrees to play along in exchange for Meredith tracking down his ex-wife, Olivia, and convincing her to give their relationship another try. Of course, the fake relationship between Derrick and Meredith leads to real feelings—which makes things awkward when Olivia reenters the picture. Readers will cheer for the well-drawn hero and heroine and their unlikely but ultimately believable romance. Plenty of humor and a stellar supporting cast, including some familiar faces from the first installment, enhance the charm. This will be catnip for contemporary romance fans.

Romance Done Right
A fun, exciting look at dating while trying to succeed in a high pressure job. Madeline is up for consideration for her tv show about matching couples to become syndicated. During a talk show, Madeline attempts to hide her dateless life by putting forward Derrick as her fiancé. With Madeline living In Boston and Derrick living in a small town in Maine as a furniture and boat builder, their lives are vastly different. However, during the hiatus from her tv show as the executives decide about syndication, Madeline gets to experience small town life in Maine with Derrick. What starts out as an agreement to help her win syndication turns into an actual romantic relationship as Madeline and Derrick found things in common and liked spending time together. As the story progresses, the reader follows this couple through the challenges of showing an engaged couple to everyone while actually developing a dating relationship. The ending was a surprise to this reader and throughly enjoyable. I received an ARC for review. I would highly recommend this book.
