I have had the good fortune to bring two rescue Scotties into
my home and heart. Angus & Guinness were two gentlemen
who brought their winning ways and a few toys into our lives.
Sadly, Angus left us much too soon. Guinness was with us for ten years. My husband became ill and was hospitalized for the last three years. I took Guinness to visit him at least twice a week.
It was the highlight of their lives for them to snuggle together on the bed. All the staff filled a pocket on "Guinnie Days". Guinness grieved deeply when his buddy died. I spent a long time interviewing breeders and purchased a little sweetheart dressed in black I named Piper. A year later my sweet Guinness' beautiful heart beat it's last as he lay in my arms. The final act of love. I owed him for all the years of unqualified love and joy he gave.
Four months ago I brought home Karma, a wee wheaten girl filled with boundless love and energy.
Not a day goes by that I don't thank Angus & Guinness for toddling into our lives.
