Customer Reviews
Not at all worthy of Cussler
Amazingly poorly written, relying on shallow humor and gratuitous use of offensive language. The Dirk Pitt character in this book is not at all consistent with his character profile and personality in all other Cussler books about him. It got so bad that I could not get even halfway into it before finally quitting.
The Mediterranean Caper
Should be titled "The Mediterranean Craper". This is the worst written, horribly cliche, poorly edited piece of crap I've read since 50 Shades. Clive Cussler is an entertaining author that I used to really enjoy reading, but since he found fame and started using ghost writers, all he churns out is crap. Boo Mr. Cussler... Do you even read what's published in your name?
ETA: I now realize this was one of his first DP stories. I'm so glad both he and the character matured. I will still stand by my comments about his ghost writers though, and JdB was so bad I didn't even finish the one book that I bought that was co-authored by him.
