Publisher Description
Her song is death. His offer is life.
Disappear into this twisty tale of a ruthless heir and the sheltered, gifted orphan he chooses as both his wife and his greatest weapon against a growing list of enemies.
Siofra has lived her entire life in isolation, terrified of her unrestrained dark magic. Then the unthinkable happens, and she and her brother are imprisoned for murder.
Before the law can deliver their punishment, the siblings are rescued by a mysterious benefactor, whisked away to a glamorous manor in the far north, where everyone treats them like a prince and princess.
Shadowfen Hall, and the surrounding forest, keeps a wall between Desemir and his rivals. His lack of heir leaves him vulnerable, but to marry within his peerage would ignite the very coup he needs to avoid.
Siofra and Desemir’s needs conveniently intersect. She needs protection for herself and her brother. He needs a wife and children to secure his legacy.
If it all seems too good to be true, it is.
Because everyone knows darkness can only be soothed, not contained.

🖤
The Melody and the Master is a skillfully woven tale of two sets of siblings, each on the brink of destruction . Siofra is exploding with dark magic while Desemir fights to drown a powerful darkness of his own. Their siblings, Pesha and Stiofen, seek to stave off disaster. The realization that they must band together for survival presents a fresh set of adversity.
In love.
I loved this book. It had everything that you needed.
Age gaps, marriage of convenience, spice. It made me feel the emotions that I wanna feel and It was very easy to just fall into this fantasy world and think that you are a part of it. I'm not even into marriages of convenience but it fit so well. Sarah really did it again.
Swoooooon
I loooooove the Beauty and the Beast vibes I got from this book. Watching Des and Si navigate their relationship while growing individually was so good. I love Sarah’s ability to give side characters enough focus so we can love more than just the main characters. This is my favorite of her Kingdom of the White Sea books. Please read it.
