This short story perhaps written when Senator Joseph McCarthy and Richard Nixon were busily destroying peoples reputations and careers to further their own now outlawed. He falls in love with one of the book club members and what more needs to be said? This a wonderful but gentle indictment of those who wish to take away our basic rights.
