One girl found dead. Another girl gone...
Long shadows danced on the tin walls. Inside the trunk lay Carrie Miller, wrapped in plastic, arms folded across her ribcage, lips sealed tight forever.
When, a girl’s body is found at a Midlands storage unit, it is too decomposed for Detective Robyn Carter to read the signs left by the killer.
No one knows the woman in blue who rented the unit; her hire van can’t be traced. But as the leads run dry another body is uncovered. This time the killer’s distinctive mark is plain to see, and matching scratches on the first victim’s skeleton make Robyn suspect she’s searching for a serial killer.
As Robyn closes in on the killer’s shocking hunting ground, another girl goes missing, and this time it’s someone close to her own heart.
Robyn can’t lose another loved one. Can she find the sickest individual she has ever faced, before it’s too late?
An utterly gripping and darkly compelling detective thriller that will have fans of Robert Dugoni, Angela Marsons and James Patterson hooked from the very start. You will not guess the ending!

The Missing Girls is the third compelling book, in Carol Wyer’s Detective Robyn Carter Crime Thriller Series.
The storage facility atmosphere became thick, with somber silence, when a trunk, expected to have hidden illegal drugs in it, contained instead, a decomposing body of a sixteen-year-old girl. The deceased, Carrie Smith, had been brutally murdered. When Amber Dalton, another teenage girl was found dead; DI Robyn Carter, was convinced, that it was the work of a serial killer. Her boss, however, didn’t agree with her and ordered Robyn to stay focused on her investigation of Carrie Smith’s murderer. He accused Robyn of wasting valuable resources. When a third girl was reported missing, Robyn was ready to put in for a transfer. But, her deceased fiancee’s daughter, Amelie, a girl whom she adored, kept her rooted to her current precinct. DI Robyn Carter became more focused than ever, though, when a fourth girl, one whom she was acquainted with, went missing. Robyn was determined to put the sick-serial-killer behind bars, before it was too late, for yet, another girl.
The Missing Girls is an engrossing, fast-paced novel. As difficult as it was to read about the victim’s experiences, the author’s sharp and vivid details kept me captivated and glued to my seat. This book is a gripping, police procedural crime thriller, crafted with many clever twists, that kept me guessing until the very end.
