Publisher Description
A Wintergreen resident goes out for his morning walk—and never comes back.
Retired detective Bill O'Shea thought he'd left crime behind when he moved to the peaceful mountain community of Wintergreen, Virginia. But that peace is shattered when an elderly man is killed in a hit-and-run. Accident—or something far more sinister? With the Wintergreen police department stretched thin, Bill is asked to lend his expertise.
Plenty of suspects soon surface: a former lover, a friend who loaned the victim money, and a suspicious hiker passing by on the Appalachian Trail.
Amidst the investigation, Bill faces repeated distractions–a thieving black bear, a mischievous groundhog, and an intriguing new neighbor.
Can Bill solve the case and keep his new community safe, or will a Wintergreen murderer go free?
The Mountain View Murder is a clean traditional mystery with no graphic violence, sex, or strong language.
