Frank Lazarus is an author whose novels include "The Murder Gambit," and the "April Fools" duology. In his new book, THE MURDER HOBBYIST, Lazarus puts down his pen and picks up a gun. 
 

Lazarus murders an ex-boss in Philadelphia. Upon his return to Hilton Head, he learns he is a suspect in his girlfriend's murder. Lazarus elects to turn investigator to find her murderer. 
 

As the two investigations progress, Lazarus encounters characters from his previous novels and "103 First Dates," creating an intriguing meta-narrative.
