Herbert George Wells (21 Sep 1866 – 13 Aug 1946), also known as H. G. Wells, was an English writer who worked in multiple genres, from historical and political writing to rulebooks for war-games. Wells was a Darwinist, socialist and pacifist and had training in biology and journalism. His most notable works were made in the field of science fiction.
