Exceeded expectations.
I’d been hearing of this series for years now. The rumor at the comic shop I frequented was that not only was it Hickman’s debut series, but that it was the first (and only) time Image comics had accepted a submission from an unknown. I don’t know if any of that is true, but I could understand it. Visually and verbally , the storytelling is superb, unexpected, and resonates on so many levels. Far exceeded expectations, and has left me thinking for days now.
