Publisher Description
This is the fifteenth volume in the complete proceedings of the Nuremberg trial of the German major war criminals before the International Military Tribunal sitting at Nuremberg, Germany.
Taken from the original court transcript this volume covers the proceedings from 27th May to 6th June, 1946 and represents an essential primary source for scholars and general readers alike. The transcripts are complete and contain the whole of the proceedings as taken from the original court documents.
This volume concludes the case of Baldur von Schirach, the head of the Hitler Youth. At the time of his trial he was one of the few nazis to denounce Hitler, and the inhume treatment of the Jews.
Also included are the trials of Fritz Saukel and Alfred Jodl, the Chief of the Operations Staff of the Armed Forces High Command. Saukel was responsible for the organisation of the brutal slave labour force that Germany employed throughout the war. One of the charges against Jodl related to the Commando and Commissar Orders.
