Biography
Dr. Phillip M. Baldwin is a native of Pittsboro, North Carolina. He is the son of the late Reverend Lynn and late Ethel M. Baldwin and is the eighth of nine children.
Dr. Baldwin is a 1984 graduate from North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, North Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology. In 1999, he received his Master of Divinity Degree from Erskine Theological Seminary in Due West, South Carolina. In 2006 he earned his Doctorate of Ministry Degree at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. In 2016, St. Thomas Christian University of Jacksonville, Florida recognized Dr. Baldwin’s service with an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity Degree.
Dr. Phillip M. Baldwin currently serves as Pastor of the Bethlehem Baptist Church of Simpsonville, South Carolina since 1993.
Dr. Baldwin is a member of Pastors United for Action, Baptist Minsters’ Fellowship of Greenville, and The South Carolina Baptist E&M Convention, The Progressive National Baptist Convention and Phi Beta Sigma. He has served as President of the Baptist Minister’s Fellowship of Greenville and Vicinity, and Moderator of the Reedy River Baptist Association. He is also involved in a host of other community events and efforts. He is married to the former Wynell Harrison and they have been blessed with one daughter, LaJasmine.
