The Oath-taker's Challenge

The High King, his army, and his companions manage to stop Elrhoheranan from seizing the power of the Valley of the Moon, but she is far from defeated.

Duncan, Gilraen, and Janaya travel to one of the cities of the jo’ma to learn more about the mysterious artifact that seems their only hope for destroying, Elrhoheranan, while Dorian takes Rodama and Romendil to the land of his people, the elderkin, on the same mission.

Ariana and Alaric, a troubled ten-year-old boy, fall into the hands of the enemy, and though Alaric manages to escape, the companions must travel to the mysterious Isle of Storms to save Ariana and confront their enemy, while the High King struggles to protect the kingdoms of Syreth from the power of unchecked magic.
