Although their bodies had been technically destroyed in what at first appeared to be an accident, the two minds of Tom Brenton and his second wife, Mary, were both alive and well, residing in her comatose form. Standing guard against further attacks, Tom Brentons great-grandson, Sami took this opportunity to read the book he had discovered among his grandfathers things. Periodically checking on the dual mentalities, he continued to read about how life was back then and wondered how his ancestors managed. Sami couldnt imagine being locked up in your own mind and having to use such a primitive method of communication as voice.It was a wonder it hadnt driven everyone insane.
