Trapped in his tiny mountain cabin, she didn't expect to fall for his big heart.
Exposing a prominent criminal family with an investigative news report didn’t exactly work out the way Sabrina had hoped. Instead of basking in the glory of her article’s success, she’s on the run from a powerful man who wants her dead. To stay safe, she’s forced to trade one bad situation for another. Stuck in the Montana wilderness, she’s secluded from anything resembling civilization or the modern-day world. The only good thing about her situation is the gorgeous mountain man assigned to protect her. Too bad he isn’t the slightest bit interested in a city girl like her.
Beau likes his life quiet and simple. Give him a peaceful day hiking in the woods with his dog, and he’s a happy man. He has no use for large crowds, noisy cities or dramatic women. So when a hotshot reporter rolls into town, dragging her big-time problems with her, he should have run for the hills. Instead, he volunteered to keep her safe. Bringing her into his world won’t be easy, but if he can convince her that Montana isn’t as terrifying as she believes, they might just be the perfect match.

5 stars for Beau!
5 stars for Beau!
I really just want to write Beau's name repeatedly and that can be my review. To say I love him is an understatement. He is in my top 5 book heroes. Gosh he's silent, but strong. And Sabrina comes in and is just so full of life and fearless.
“A woman could tell a lot by the way a man holds her. She could tell if he had the strength to endure the rougher moments. If he had a mighty yet kind heart. If he could make her feel safe and cherished. Beau’s embrace said all that and more.”
While they fit together perfectly, they were also amazing apart. I could read a whole book about them separately and I would still love it. And those are the best kind of characters -- the ones that don't need each other, but still fight to be together because they want it.
The plot was the perfect pace. The perfect mixture of drama, relationships, and twists.
Seriously guys. So good.
Love in the Wild
I loved, loved, loved this book!!! Sabrina is on the run from the Federovs. She is a news journalist in Seattle, WA, and has broken the story, but has barely escaped with her life. She runs to her best friend Felicity in Prescott, Montana. Beau is Maisy's brother and he is going to take her to The Outpost to hide out deep in the woods to keep her safe. Can this city girl and mountain man find common ground? A must read book and one of my favorites of 2017!!! 5 stars
Another beautiful book by Devney Perry. Can't get enough of her books.
Sabrina McKenzie is a reporter that after investigating and going undercover to investigate a mafia family and with her "boyfriend" being part of that family, she has to run after her "boyfriend" finds out and nearly killed her.
Beau Holt works for the US Forest Service and is a Mountain man that takes Sabrina to an Outpost up in the Mountain to hide her.
Loved the that even though they were very attracted to each other, it was slow building.
Beau was Alpha but he was also sweet and caring. He also helped Sabrina with her nightmares.
Sabrina was a City girl that slowly fell in love with her life in the mountains.
and the epilogue was so beautiful.
Can't wait for the next book in this series!
