The Oxford Triangle

In 1812 Amanda Brewster wants to breed sheep and find a husband but society has strict rules about being a lady and disapproves. The one man who touches Amanda's heart, Thomas Morgan, rejects her because Amanda's father once cheated him.  Amanda finds comfort with the ambitious Senator Weston who needs her dowry. When the British invasion fleet appears on the Chesapeake Bay, Thomas joins the militia and forms a secret society called the Oxford Triangle to fight the British. Amanda helps the militia with a fundraiser, calling it the Chester Town Tea Party where Admiral Cockburn himself, the commander of the enemy fleet, brazenly appears in disguise as a common merchant. Rival loves, deceit and treachery threaten to destroy the growing attraction between Amanda and Thomas until a daring escape inside British headquarters nearly ends in disaster.
