A Historical Story with Modern Relevance
This is a gripping story of love, loss and heroism in the darkest days of WWII. The characters are heroic, but also sympathetic and believable. Suspenseful, and a quick read. It’s especially appropriate now for Americans who currently face saving their country from the tide of rising Fascism encroaching on their freedoms and democratic ideals.

WHERE TO BEGIN
All the emotions. If you like historical renditions of a distinct time, specifically WWII, you cant go wrong with this book. I couldn’t put it down and sleep was the only thing keeping me from reading it from the moment i started to the moment I finished it.
