The Path of Light: Formational Reflections

Daily Formational Reflections offers a year-long course of concise moral and spiritual formation. Each of its 365 readings pairs a classical moral-philosophy maxim with Scripture, followed by a focused reflection and a closing question directed toward faithful action in ordinary life.

These reflections occupy the middle ground between the extended essays of The Path of Light and the more prayer-centered Daily Devotions. They are brief enough for steady daily use, yet substantial enough to examine motive, judgment, habit, responsibility, and character. Christian faith provides the governing moral vision, while classical wisdom contributes disciplined attention, self-command, and clarity of thought.

Read one day at a time, the volume is designed to cultivate moral awareness through repeated practice. Its purpose is not inspiration for its own sake, but the gradual formation of a life marked by wisdom, humility, perseverance, obedience, and faithful conduct.
