The Imperfect Debutant
I gave it 3 1/2 stars. It dragged in several places. Very slow going.
Good read
Very good read nice storyline unexpected
Very Heavy
It started off heavy so i knew what to expect, it’s very real and a bit triggering (funny enough i thought i wouldn’t be bothered by the self-harming since i never struggled with that sorta thing) it went on and on. I wish there was some more depth, not just about them but the people around them! I feel like it was very vague at times, even in their own thoughts and not just her who’s struggling tremendously. I felt like I needed MORE! It is a good write, I just think it wasn’t enough, it stayed on and on, on the same thing. it could’ve been more condensed, some more happiness even. Obviously they achieved it at the end but it was at the VERY END. Spicy level 1/5 and I’m happy about it because I’m glad it showed that good sex cannot fix someone, I’m glad it didn’t show super unhealthy dependency. I believe the author did an amazing job showing the internal feelings she felt though, it didn’t feel dismissive to self-harming victims and that was important to me because I’m close with someone who’s one.
