Her second chance, best friend's older brother, and now her boss. Wes Bay isn't just a distraction, he's her perfect distraction…
I didn't mean to trick my little sister's best friend into working for me. Okay, I totally did, but I need Emily. She's the only person that can make my new restaurant business a success. Calling me boss and being in close proximity to me is purely a coincidental bonus. After all, there has been a time or two where our chemistry nearly combusted.
There is just one obstacle to my grand plan.
Emily has a firm career plan, and they don't involve any entanglements with me. Nope. The last thing she thinks she needs is to add sleeping with her boss to the equation.
I, on the other hand, am betting on the fact that she could probably use a distraction—in the shape of me. Surely, all I need to do is throw in a little persuasion to ensure she doesn't get away a third time…
This is the third novel in the Mr. Boss series and can be read as a complete standalone, but also enjoyable for those who wish to revisit your favorite characters of the series. This feel-good story is filled with banter, a swoony boss, steamy times, and surprises along the way. For lovers of second chance romance with a workplace setting. Best friend's older brother? Check.
The Mr.Boss series can be read as complete standalone books or in the following order:
The Unexpected Card (Josh & Layla, Enemies to Lovers/Accidental Pregnancy)
The Big Charmer (Logan & Sadie, Boss/Nanny)
The Perfect Distraction (Wes & Emily, Second Chance)
The Real Deal (Cole & Ruby, Fake Marriage)
This was the perfect feel good story!!! This book is number three in the Mr. Boss series by E.H. Lyon and I love how she can create these characters with the perfect environment and chemistry you can help but fall in love with. This friends to lovers / boss-employee romance was just amazing and super entertaining. The banter between Wes and Emily was just hilarious but full of steam. Their chemistry was perfect and Wes totally stoled the show. He was just the perfect man trying to catch his perfect woman and I just loved his determination. I love how we were able to catch up with the couples from the previous books in this series and I can't wait for the next book.
Hilariously funny, Emily and Wes’ exchanges kept me absorbed to the end! Great descriptions set the scene for the characters to sparkle.
So sweet and not a cliffhanger such a nice surprise
