His first mistake? Thinking she'd let him go.
Juliette finally has it all. Great friends. An exciting new job that sends her to exotic locations all over the world. Best of all, she has a good, decent man who loves her, who wants to spend the rest of his life with her…
He just won’t admit it.
But Juliette’s not worried. After all, fate brought them together in the first place. If she and Nate are meant to be, they can weather any storm—even this break-up they’re going through now. Nate thought things had been moving too fast, getting too intense. All he needed was some space, though. Now that six months have passed since that awful night, it’s time for Juliette to put her plan into action.
It takes some convincing: cleaning his apartment while he’s out, leaving behind his favorite foods…little things to make him realize how badly he misses her. Once he sees Juliette has this perfect new life—and broken free from her dark past—he won’t ignore her anymore. Especially now that she’s working for his airline.
She’s not going to let him go so easily. Because their love is like a dream that never dies.
Even when it turns out to be a nightmare.
“Funny, creepy, surprising, scary, and exhilarating.”—Publishers Weekly
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
In this breakneck-paced thriller, “till death do us part” takes on an alarming new meaning. Six months after being dumped, Juliette refuses to believe her romance with Nate is over. A new girlfriend is no deterrent to Juliette’s increasingly bonkers efforts to win back her old flame—and crazy as she is, her determination and chilling creativity are awe-inspiring. Karen Hamilton’s willingness to embrace her totally deranged protagonist makes for a deliciously over-the-top read.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Elizabeth Juliette Price, the narrator of Hamilton's fascinating debut set mainly in England, believes that she has found her one true love in commercial pilot Nate Goldsmith, until he tells her he needs space. Not one to be brushed off, she devises a plan to win him back, complete with motivational mantras. She starts using her middle name, Juliette, and begins training as a flight attendant for Nate's airline. A fresh mantra soon springs to her mind: "If you love someone, set them free. If they come back, they're yours. If they don't, make them." She later observes, "It's true that there is a fine line between love and hate, and I have crossed it." Because Juliette doesn't follow the expected norms of behavior, it's impossible to predict what she'll do next. In her pursuit of Nate, she ends up committing a crime. But will she get away with it? Hamilton subtly unveils the reasons for Juliette's obsession, creating moments where the reader feels a surge of sympathy for this original and plucky, yet delusional, protagonist. This page-turner is by turns funny, creepy, surprising, scary, and exhilarating.

Loved it
Couldn’t put it down! So interesting and so crazy!
Disappointing
Well written book, held my interest, BUT the ending was extremelyy disappointing. It would have been more satisfying if there had been some resolve.
A Fatal Attraction
Thoroughly enjoyed the crazy and obsessed character! Hard to put down. I'm looking forward to this authors next book that's due out in a few months.
