The Phlox and the Wallflower

As a follow-up to Purple Alpenglow, Adam and Hannah Turner are back and continuing to enjoy the splendor of the Spruce Creek valley in the Colorado high country, but their attention has become distracted from their normal daily lives by a crisis facing their new friend, Kelsey Webb. The direness of her situation is clear, and they call on another new acquaintance, Justin Hayes, to help, and in the process, they seize an opportunity to focus on another crisis, facing the nation. Looking to distract Kelsey from her situation, Adam, Hannah, and their friends call on Kelsey and Justin to join them as they savor the beautiful summer days in the Spruce Creek valley. During their time together that includes a hike to a majestic mountain peak and a bike ride to a ridge affording awe inspiring views of the Rocky Mountains among other events, they call on Justin to help review basic facts behind major issues facing policymakers. As they all examine Kelsey’s situation further and also look to impart the importance of awareness about key details behind major political issues of the day, revelations are made as to the source of Kelsey’s struggles. Will they be able to help Kelsey avoid disaster, …or is it really Justin who is facing the pivotal moment in his life? And what really is the essential element to realizing substantive growth through difficult circumstances?
