The Phone

The room is dark and cold. Not me, though. I sit in this old chair watching the fire. The fireplace is lit, as sounds of crackles and pops filled the atmosphere. Who am I, you ask? Maybe I'm a friend; maybe I'm a foe. I could be your mother or your father. Maybe I'm your wife or -- maybe -- just maybe I could be you. Whoever I am, I am just sitting here staring at my phone. A phone? Have you really ever just looked at one?
